It was quite a week in our house. Rowan was sick with a small fever so we took her into the dr on Tuesday and we all agreed it sounded like a sinus infection. 4 hours later she spiked a fever of 106 and we rushed her back in. After a blood draw, catheter, 2 very painful antibiotic shots and an x-ray we found out she has double pneumonia. Her white blood cell count was more than double what it should be. Luckily by the next day the antibiotics had kicked in and she was feeling much better. Needless to say it added some gray hairs for Superman and I. There is nothing worse than when your child is sick and all those procedures were just horrible to watch her go through.
It also put a MAJOR delay on our last minute Christmas errands. Priority was the sick kid though – any parent knows that. So, today we are gearing up for lots of time in the kitchen, presnet wrapping and yes, a few last minute Christmas Eve errands as well.
I plan on pulling out my camera a lot this weekend and will have lots to post very soon!
