Numero dos

So, as I’m pregnant with my second child (or at least the second one that has gotten past the first trimester), I am fascinated by the differences between this pregnancy and my last.  With Mini Me I was sick a lot in the beginning and we had many complications over the course of the pregnancy (placenta previa here, a little pre-term labor there).  With Munchkin #2, it has been SO different!  I was sick, but not nearly as much in the beginning and (knock on wood) overall this pregnancy has been smooth sailing.  That of course had my convinced that this child would be a boy, but it is indeed another girl.  Due on Mini Me’s birthday none the less!  We are really excited because as you know we wanted a healthy baby, but let’s face it; we had a preference on the sex and REALLY wanted another girl.  Sometimes you really do get what you ask for.  Remind me I was happy about this when my girls are 12 and 15.

Another thing that is really different this time is how quickly I am showing!  They say you pop sooner the second time around and BOY they weren’t kidding!  So the morning of our big sonogram I decided to see just how different I looked this time.  WARNING, I do NOT recommend ever doing this to yourself people.  Seriously.  It put me in the worst mood possible and I yelled at my husband for no good reason because I decided I was huge and gross and a plethora of other things that are most likely not true.

Like most of us I kept up with some belly pictures during my first pregnancy and plan on doing so again this time.  While that is fun, NEVER compare them.  EVER.

And NEVER post them on the internet for people to point and laugh at see.
