Favorite Things

I was thinking as a regular blog feature I would share my favorite things.  Nothing sponsored, just things I like and feel like sharing with the interweb.   I’m a shopper and always trying new things, so maybe this can be some added justification.  So, for this first Favorite things entry I’ll start with some of my tried and true faves.  The ones I just can’t live without.

First up is a little website called Etsy.  I first came across this site when I was pregnant with Mini Me.  This place rocks.  Tons of super cool, vintage and handmade items to suit any taste.  It’s especially great for gifts – you can always find something here that is one of a kind.

My iphone.  Yes, I still have the 3GS version and while I’d love to upgrade I still love this baby.  Who knew a phone could be so life changing?  This thing is one of the coolest inventions ever.  Period.  I use it for EVERYTHING.  From a cookbook, to my GPS, videos on the fly and photographs, to games and oh yea, music this little multi tasker is a life saver.

Okay, here is one I bet you didn’t expect.  Laura Mercier undercover pot.  This stuff is A.MAZ.ING.  As a super busy mom who doesn’t get enough sleep, this stuff lets me walk out of my house every day looking well rested and like I actually got a full night’s sleep.  I have yet to find anything that holds a candle to it.

Last up – a really good cardigan.  Seriously.  I have so many it isn’t funny and friends that have known me forever know that it is the one item I will always buy when shopping and that I have too many of.  I can’t explain it – it is just a weird and amazingly boring love story between me and a good cardi.  Gap and Banana Republic are two of my favorite places for them.  Here is one in particular that I am loving from the Gap Maternity line this fall.
